The plastic components that secure the solar panel to its rotating system can become brittle and break down after being exposed to sunlight for a short period. The provided fasteners lack durability and frequently snap open, causing uneven stress on the remaining parts, which may lead to tears at the attachment points. Two-piece clips in this configuration are meant to be held together by 1/4-inch x 3/4-inch stainless steel bolts (M6 x 20mm is also a suitable option). They're designed for use with six-mil pool cover material. The attached CAD files make it easy to modify the design to accommodate different thicknesses of cover material. These clips were created using PETG plastic.
