I was tired of cleaning out leaves in my skimmer every fall. As anyone with a pool might know, if you have trees nearby the skimmer may become clogged and thus be really bad for your pump unless you clean out the basket frequently. Therefore, I decided to create a solution for this with a leaf guard for your pool skimmer. I made it as a modular design so that you can customize the width to fit your pool skimmer outlet. Commercial leaf guards do exist, however they are bulky, oversized, and IMHO are ugly due to universal fitment; not to mention can be problematic for other reasons.If you print 2x sides and 1x middle, combined dimensions are roughly 6.5"H x 13.75"W. Tips:Each piece is connected to one another with the use of the included pegs.Perform dry fit with pegs. Should fit tightly on its own, but you can add some superglue for piece of mind. Each peg is 29mm. When peg is inserted, no more than 15mm should be sticking out. This is because each hole is designed for 15mm max depth. Pegs should be strong; I print as 40% infill, however 100% might be better.Use ASA, ABS, or some other UV resistant filament.Use bungee cord, twine, or some other string to attach leaf guard to your skimmer basket.The slit/hole in the middle component is to allow use of different size bolts in addition to a larger hole opening for a hook from something like a bungee cord.If the extensions are not adequate for your skimmer outlet, please leave a comment and I'll make an additional size.Update:I have added another extension to help get a better fit.
