Pool ionizer

Since I had after the winter a green pool full of algae I searched the Internet for a way to free my pool again from the algae, I succeeded with a simple way of making copper colloids with the anode of copper 8mm solid material one side with M8 X 1.25mm thread cut on the copper with a tap and a cathode of 2.5mm V4A wire (welding wire wrapped around a tube with about 15mm about 1m long). To make the poolionizer float in the water I cut 7 cm from a floating noodle with a hole and pushed it from the bottom over the VA spring to the top. For the power supply I used a 12V 5W solar panel which you can buy at Ebay. At the anode should be plus. On the brackets for the solar panel are small holes for M4 Ruthex melt-in thread for mounting with M4 X 16 stainless steel screws. After 4-6 days it showed that the pool slowly becomes clear because the algae do not tolerate copper they die. At the same time I had applied shock chlorination and since then no more problems with green pool.
