We're digging up the castle's medieval entrance, which was constructed in the 1300s. Once hailed as the 'Key to the North', Cromwell described it as 'the strongest inland stronghold in the country'. Now, all that remains of this fortress are a few remnants, and our crew is just beginning to uncover what's left of the gatehouse ruins.
