Ponte 25 de Abril

We are a group of seventh-grade students from Agrupamento de Escolas Venda do Pinheiro, just outside Lisbon. Our class has worked together to complete a project focused on anti-seismic structures in Portugal, with a specific emphasis on bridges, including the iconic 25th April Bridge that spans the Tagus River. This collaborative effort was undertaken across multiple classes: ICT for learning 3D modeling techniques, Portuguese Language for researching and information literacy skills, and Science class to gain insight into the Earth's internal structure, seismic fault lines, and the causes of seismic activity. We have created a detailed 3D model of the 25th April Bridge over the Tagus River. For this task, we utilized Sketchup Make to design the bridge model and Maps to STL to generate a 3D representation of the river span between Alcântara and Almada. The final project was assembled in Tinkercad and then printed using an BeeTheFirst printer.
