A fragment of a Roman weaving scale or weight has been recovered during excavations conducted at Iria Flavia, A Coruña, between 1993-94 by Yolanda Álvarez González and Luis F. López. What catches the eye is its coarse paste and thick grease slides, some of which could be mineral slag. It is housed in the Museum of Pilgrimages and Santiago in Santiago de Compostela.
