I've got a preformed Fibreglass type pond liner, and I'm well aware that this shouldn't be used on any soft pond liners. When it's time for my garden pond's annual clean, I examine it carefully and notice there's a massive buildup of silt and slugs at the bottom. My trusty pond vacuum can't lift them, so I came up with a brilliant solution: an attachment that breaks them up first, making it easy for the Hoover to suck them up. The two hose attachments need to be sealed tightly to the lid using a waterproof silicone sealant to ensure a watertight connection. To keep everything stable, the water hose should be securely attached to your vacuum hose to support its weight.
