Pond Guy Allclear G2 filter hose to Sched 40 adapter
thingiverse
This is a threaded adapter that allows you to put 1.5" threaded schedule 40 PVC to the collared inlets of the Pond Guy Allclear Pressurized Filtration system, which uses metric threads. For all of you following at home, 1.5" externally threaded PVC has a thread of 1 7/8" -12 and the Pond Guy filters use ISO Pipe thread (metric) G 47.803 x 2.309, which *almost* fits the Sched 40 pipe, but after a few revolutions, it binds and is not seated enough to be watertight. This adapter lets you mate them. With this, and a "winter loop" made of sched 40 PVC you can quickly bypass your filter for winter operation without tools or re-seating hose clamps. edit: PLA printed fittings are not watertight, at least certainly not at 20% infill. It oozed fluids. But a single coat of marine epoxy on the inside after mounting it on my schedule 40 pipe mad eit watertight. I had to sand the leading edge to clean up dribbles so the gasket had a flat mounting point, but then it worked great. A little bit of extra work that will make all future off seasons much easier to take the filter offline is worth it. I would make a couple out of aluminum on the lathe but the crazy metric thread of 47.803 seems like a pain on my ancient imperial lathe.
