Poncho-wearing Pikachu (Mega Charizard Y)

IntroductionThis is a 3d scan of the Poncho-wearing Pikachu plush Mega Charizard Y edition made with the FaceID sensor of an iPad Pro, MeshLab, Blender and a lot of patience.PrintingGeneralScale the model at the size that you prefer. By default it's very small. The bottom of the model is curved, you may want to cut it a bit and make it flat before printing so it can stand sit, otherwise it will lean on it's side like in the photos. The model contains a bunch of messed up meshes, PrusaSlicer can partly take care of them. The remaining errors shouldn't cause any issue to the print.Resin printingJust use the standard settings that works the best with your printer. That's all.I printed it on a FlashForge Foto 8.9 with Elegoo White Water Washable resin, I prepared the model with PrusaSlicer 2.4.1 rc1 (orientation, hollowing, support) and sliced with ChituBox for compatibility reasons.FDM printingThis model is relatively simple to print with filament: it requires some support on the front to sustain the hoodie and on the back for the wings. Make sure that your printer has proper cooling because it contains a lot of overhangs.I printed it in PLA with an E3D Hemera mounted on terrible cartesian 3d printer frame controlled by a Duet 2, sliced on PrusaSlicer with 0.1 layers and automatic placed supports. How did I made thisTo scan the plush I use the Face ID sensor of an iPad Pro 2018, with the app Capture. I used a thin wire to hang the plush through the tag on its bottom and I rotated it slowly.Note: the app by default exports only USDZ file. You need a Mac OS powered PC or to pay for the complete version of the app to convert them into OBJ file if you want to work with them. The model generated by the app is a point cloud. To obtain actual connected meshes I converted the model through MeshLab.After that the model still contained a lot of very big holes because the Face ID sensor it's not made for this so I imported the result on Blender to close them, remove the tag and some triangles that were generated in wrong places. I'm not a 3d modelling expert, I know it's messed up a lot. But it works :D
