POMZ-2 Tripwire Mine
cults3d
A replica prop of the Soviet POMZ-2 (Anti-Personnel Fragmentation Mine 2) that first saw use during World War 2. They were designed to be used with a tripwire and usually fitted with the standard MUV fuse and MD-2 detonator. Fuse A is the early variant, B simplified and C simplified with a flat striker. Safety collar is for the early version. The mine was replaced post war by the slightly modified POMZ-2M. I designed this replica to simulate the fuse’s function when fitted with a 7-9 mm diameter compression spring. Stakes are mostly for reference or display, you should preferably produce stakes from wooden dowel if you intend to hammer them into ground. They varied a lot in appearance, so many different possibilities exist (even square), as long as the top diameter is about 32 mm.
