LiDAR scan data captured in Pompeii, Italy, processed with CloudCompare, where point cloud is subsampled to an octree depth of 12 to meet Sketchfab size requirements. Normals are computed then oriented using fast marching techniques. RGB colors are transferred from the scan's scalar value, since original data lacked RGB information. Capture Team comprised of researchers from the Research Center for the Development of Integrated Automatic Procedures for Restoration of Monuments (DIAPReM), Faculty of Architecture at the University of Ferrara, and the Soprintendenza Archeologica di Pompeii. Data originates from the CyArk Open Heritage program, created by and copyrighted by CyArk, licensed under CC-BY-NC terms. Raw data also available on the Internet Archive.
