Pomelo Stick Mount
thingiverse
I built this mount specifically for the Pomelo Electric Skateboard. Initially, I designed it to make steering easier by hand, but unfortunately, it didn't work out as planned. To steer effectively, I would've had to crank the handle excessively to one side or the other, and the mount would likely have broken before any noticeable steering occurred. However, a fortunate side effect of this design was that holding onto the stick while riding became significantly more comfortable and secure for me due to my prosthetic leg. This made a substantial difference in my overall experience with the skateboard. Here are the components I used for assembly: * 4 M5 screws (each 20mm or longer, with a rounded head) * 4 M5 nuts * A broomstick or rod with a diameter of exactly 21.2mm The mount is attached to the front of the skateboard and assembled using the printed bottom part with nuts pressed into place, followed by screwing together the printed top part. A 21.2mm hole is provided for the stick, which I chose because all broomsticks available in my area (regardless of material) were precisely that size. This suggests it may be a standard dimension, but feel free to modify it using your preferred mesh tool if desired. While this mount may not suit everyone's needs, it made a noticeable difference for me and improved my overall experience with the skateboard. The picture shows my initial prototype, which appears fragile despite holding up so far. I reinforced the uploaded STL file by adding two triangles to provide additional stability.
