The STEP file of Pomelo Pummeler, the 2017 robot from Team 1678 Citrus Circuits that competed in FIRST Steamworks, is included along with selected renderings. This robot features a West Coast Drivetrain, ground ball intake, ground gear intake, internal ball conveyor system, and robust ball shooter, which also has two custom gearboxes, custom wiring, and more. Team 1678 Citrus Circuits excelled in the 2017 Steamworks competition, winning the Central Valley, Sacramento, and Las Vegas Regionals. At the FIRST Championship in Houston, they became Newton Sub-Division Champions and 2017 FRC World Championship Finalists, joining an alliance with Teams 118, 4188, and 5892. FIRST Robotics is an international organization founded by Dean Kamen, promoting hands-on, mentor-based science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education through yearly robotics competitions for high school students (grades 9-12).
