The Omega T compact TSD 4/6/8 "Phoenix" (2000/2013) Hence Poma's idea to go even further in the compatibility between its gondolas and chairlifts, which would now use a maximum of common modular components that can be assembled with each other like a simple construction set, to give as many gondolas as 16 seats and especially TSDs from 4 to 8 seats for the first time! This would allow the modules to be prefabricated, assembled in record time to be tested and then delivered: Poma was entering the golden age of modular and would never leave it! The christening name "Phoenix" was itself part of a new communication strategy based on space and galaxies, in this case the "Poma galaxy" rethought and finally decompartmentalized, offering all sorts of new possibilities and services In concrete terms, the Phoenix TSD took over the "Omega T" clamp, but inaugurated a new station called "Satellit" intended to evolve within this Poma galaxy and for the first time really common to the gondolas due to its hypermodularity itself linked to components designed with this in mind. This station, also designed around the "Omega T" clamp, takes up the progressive achievements of the previous ones and is, like the "Omega T" station, based on two imposing quadrangular reinforced concrete blocks, offering even more space than the latter: The walking speed is set at 5 m/s. In the "Satellit" stations, we find the pulleys in the track, the winch above as well as the integrated hydrostatically operated lorry, and of course the tyre dragging generalized from the beginning of the 1990s and the Phoenix chairlifts take over the "Doudouk" seats implemented on the previous TSDs with "Oméga T" stations. The Omega T "Phoenix" clamp TSDs were a success all round and without doubt the most successful TSD product ever designed by Poma as an independent entity however, with two manufacturers in the same grouping, it predictably soon made more economic sense to offer more components in common to further increase competitiveness, which was done by 2005. From 2007, the "Satellit" stations and Omega T clamps would be offered by Poma only to retrofit with "Doudouk 4" seats of fixed quadcopter Alpha station devices, as was from 2004 the TSD4 of "Monjoie" transformed in the golden age of "Phoenix" TSDs. In 2007, a TSF4 was thus transformed giving the TSD4 "du Cernix" (Cohennoz). In 2008 the TSF4 became the TSD4 "de Piapolay" (Arêches-Beaufort). In 2009 the TSD4 "du Golf" (Méribel) was transformed on the basis of a TSF4 of 1998 with a fixed underground engine and not a tension Alpha engine, this fixed underground engine retained causing a particular "Satellit" station, with moreover a reversed direction of ascent without being exchanged the asymmetrical balances of the line pylons! Finally, in 2013, we witnessed a more original transformation of a 1991 TSD4 compact TB "Omega" into a TSD4 "Omega T Satellit", the TSD4 "des Deux Lacs" (Val Thorens) giving a rather peculiar chairlift due to the use of LPA-OC 4 seats! Thus the "Phoenix" TSDs ended, and with them the Omega T grip...
