PolyPanels OpenSCAD Library I was inspired by Devin Montes to create an OpenSCAD library for PolyPanels. He released Fusion360 files and I thought it would be great to have an OpenSCAD alternative. I've spent a significant amount of time ensuring that these designs are compatible with Devon's creations. Of course, they lack the rounded edges of Devons' designs due to no fillet tool. Module Usage: The modules starting with '_' should not be used as primitives. polypanelsnap() Creates the snap bar for PolyPanels. Use this module to create your own PolyPanels. PolyPanelSquare(open=true) PolyPanelTriangle(open=true) PolyPanelPentagon(open=true) PolyPanelPentagonOriginal(open=true) These are the basic PolyPanel shapes. They all accept an 'open' parameter set to true for an open face, false for a closed face. PolyPanelPentagonOriginal is compatible with Devon's design but I found it was slightly too large. When creating a box of two pentagons and 5 squares, you'll notice the squares must warp significantly to attach. So I created a PolyPanelPentagon that doesn't cause this warping. NOTE: This library generates some 2-manifold warnings, but I haven't encountered any printing issues.
With this file you will be able to print PolyPanels OpenSCAD Library with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on PolyPanels OpenSCAD Library.
