Polymer Clay Cane Cutting Guide
thingiverse
I designed this cutting guide to precision-cut my polymer clay canes with ease. This versatile tool effortlessly cuts canes up to 3/4" in any desired shape. To use it, simply insert the cane into the correct guide slot, adjust its thickness by hanging it over the edge, and then slice it with a long razor cutter - that's all there is to it. For optimal results, print this design at a higher resolution of 0.10 mm to achieve extremely smooth sides. Although printing may take a bit longer, the outcome will be well worth the extra effort. The display sample printed at 0.20 mm has rougher sides. To avoid unnecessary supports during printing, place the arches facing downwards and the square slots on top. I used PLA for this print but ABS or nylon might even yield better results. For the best contrast when cutting canes, print this guide in white or a light color.
