Polymaker Maker PolyCoin Fidget Toy
prusaprinters
PrefaceI haven't had a chance to print this one off, yet, but it uses the same gears as my GeaRing fidget ring, so it should work just fine. The GeaRing was printed with a 0.25 mm nozzle, but with the introduction of the Arachne engine, a 0.4 mm nozzle may be viable. Give it a shot and let me know!InstructionsThe 3MF file contains all the parts pre-oriented and ready to print. All you have to do is…Merge the partsConvert the part labeled “Fuzzy Skin Exclusion Modifier” into a modifier and exclude fuzzy skin from it, enabling fuzzy skin for the “Outer Gear Ring” only. I recommend 0.3 mm fuzzy skin thickness and 0.15 mm fuzzy skin point distance, but you can modify these to your heart's content or disable fuzzy skin entirely. Setup multi-color printing if desired. After printing, the coin will likely require a bit of fennagling to loosen it up, but it will spin freely after some play. The model can be scaled up or down (if you dare), but keep in mind clearances between parts change with scale. Please let me know if there are any issues with printing or using this toy.
