Gen Biochem Description: This is a straightforward, friction-fit Type I Polyketide synthase (PKS) model. PKSs are modular proteins with each module executing distinct enzymatic functions. These proteins catalyze condensation reactions and various reductions in a similar manner to fatty acid synthase. ACP - acyl carrier protein AT- acyltransferase KS - Ketosynthase KR - Ketoreductase DH - Dehydratase ER - Enoyl-Reductase TE - Thioesterase Print one or two sacrificial ACPs to adjust the sizes of holes and pegs by gently twisting pieces on them. I've only successfully printed this in PLA, but I haven't tested ABS yet.
