Polyhedron: Vertexes
thingiverse
On this occasion, I wanted to create a program that generates several scad files with vertices for joining with straws of appropriate length to form a polyhedron, similar to the object https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3310792. This program creates a file for each vertex, with a code on each salient to identify how they should be connected. In addition, it generates a text file called instructions with the lengths of straws suitable for the connections, parameterized according to the shortest length, the longest length, and a parameter that is 1 for the original case. When building this model, I used supports, although it's not essential to use them. Be cautious that the supports don't obstruct the view of the codes, or you'll have to try to figure out how they connect. I'm including a conical object whose ends measure 2 and 3 millimeters in radius, which I used to measure the straws for this project.
With this file you will be able to print Polyhedron: Vertexes with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Polyhedron: Vertexes.
