Polyhedral Dice Box

Polyhedral Dice Box

thingiverse

I stumbled upon this hexagonal dice box on Thingiverse - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2754499 - and had to try printing one right away. But, one set of dice was so limiting that I decided to create my own version to carry more dice with me at all times. This custom dice box is designed to hold three seven-dice sets of polyhedral dice, though you can fit an extra d20 into each row if you arrange everything just right. The box is specifically designed to print on a 6"x6" bed and could be easily resized or redone to hold even more dice. I also made sure that the model will work well with most print settings, but you'll need to use infill to support the interior surfaces. The holes are sized for magnets that measure 5 mm in diameter and 1 mm thick, which can be found online with ease. The first image is printed in Hatchbox wood filament, then sanded down, stained with a gel-based stain, and sealed with spray polyurethane. I've uploaded three files - the box top and bottom, as well as a small template that fits perfectly inside the slots of the box. The template is perfect for tracing onto some self-adhesive felt or other material to cut out liners for inside the box. Thanks for taking a look at my design!
