Polygonal Axe
myminifactory
The front portion of a polygonal axe from Hallsberg parish in Närke gets displayed. Polygonal axes were ceremonial tools linked to the Funnel Beaker Culture. They emerged during the Early Neolithic period, around 4000-3300 BC. Unfortunately, the axe has been broken off at the shaft hole and the lower half is missing. 3D scanning by Xenter 3D technician Midori Åstrand This object was scanned by Historiska, The Swedish History Museum
