Polygon Cell Stands (JeffCo)
thingiverse
The SOLID and HOLLOW stands can accommodate a USB port in the rear, giving them a sleek look when paired with an LED as shown in the photo. To add an LED, use a 1K resistor for a dimmer light or 450-470 ohm for full brightness. The hollow stand is completely hollow, featuring slightly thicker walls. The solid stand looks great with about 10% infill, showcasing a nice diamond pattern. The hollow design has almost no infill, but it's recommended to use 100% infill for the best results. Both stands have 4 or 5 WALL LINE COUNT. The USB socket is currently positioned on the right rear, but can be easily mirrored in your slicer if you prefer it on the left rear. A closer look at the photo of the USB socket reveals that the end of the black plastic cover has been cut off from both the top and bottom. The lower half has even more material removed to allow for easy passage of the power wire and LED's wire through the back. One of the photos shows the soldered leads on the USB socket, with a gray notch indicating the positive lead. The two middle leads are the data pins, which some phones and tablets require to be shorted together or have a resistance between them in order to initiate charging. Iphones specifically require this setup, so make sure to short these leads together.
