PolyGauge
thingiverse
This is a 3D printed replica of a precision gauge that first caught my eye in a YouTube video: https://youtu.be/rZUKzSlExIc\r\n\r\nWoodpeckers recently released a stainless steel version, priced at $90. As a setup tool, it's more than I'm willing to pay, regardless of its exceptional accuracy.\r\n\r\nThis gauge accommodates five distinct shapes (square, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, or dodecagon) and can be used in two ways with a table saw or miter saw to achieve precise, repeatable cuts for mitered corners.\r\n\r\nI've found myself relying more on my hand to reposition the gauge than I expected, thanks to its substantial thickness. However, I included the knob for those who might find it useful - your results may vary.\r\n\r\n*Updated 7/10/19*: Corrected shape near the 60° mark and uploaded a version without the handle recess.
