Polyeder Library
thingiverse
This is an OpenSCAD Library that can generate various archimedic solids. Missing ones can be easily added. For each polyhedron, multiple "finish" options are available, which affects the overall appearance. This library creates polyhedrons by combining polygons at specific angles in a hierarchical manner. The required information comes from a list with the following entry: [parent id, parent polygon side, new id, new corner number, bend angle]. An additional function 'angle_3poly' is provided to calculate any angle needed between polygons where three of them meet at a corner. To use this library: Download the polyeder.scad file. Fill in facemode to select which face to display. Fill in r_edge to define the edge cylinder radius. Fill in r_corner to define the corner sphere radius. In the bottom, uncomment one of the several available polyhedrons. Press "F5" to render. From here: Place the polyhedrons in your own objects, possibly as ornaments. Derive or extend this library. I appreciate any fixes and will publish them. Currently, antiprism is broken. Consider donating a tip if you're happy with the library.
With this file you will be able to print Polyeder Library with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Polyeder Library.
