These are the components required to transform any sheet of polycarbonate into a wall mountable dry erase board. The original design utilizes M3 hardware to connect the polycarbonate to plastic pieces. The marker holders are specifically designed for thin Expo brand dry erase markers, as well as erasers. The dry erase board features Velcro pads under each foot to enable easy removal from the wall and portability anywhere. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Mendel90 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3mm Infill: 100% Notes: A higher than average infill is used, as M3 hardware requires smaller holes to avoid using a tap and simplify the project. It may be slightly challenging to start bolts into the holes, but threading them into the holes is entirely possible. Post-Printing If you experience trouble getting bolts to tap into plastic, try the following: For those who use imperial drill bits, I recommend utilizing a 3/32" (~2.38mm) drill bit to create the minimum sized hole for the bolt to catch, if it's not already at this diameter. Increase this to a size 7/64" (~2.78mm) drill bit if difficulty persists. How I Designed This The design originated from observing numerous TV shows featuring the use of see-through dry erase boards. After extensive research, I discovered that polycarbonate works remarkably well as a dry erase surface, while also being transparent and incredibly impact resistant/bulletproof.
