To achieve a firmer connection, tighten the clevis fitting on wobbly elbows. Combine the current female version with this precise model: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8129. The default 1/4" opening fits a steel dowel pin perfectly, while the 3/8" depth accommodates two pins on a 1 1/4" rod with a 1/2" gap. This creates a sturdy elbow joint with customizable ends. Print multiple pieces, slip them onto a 1/4" rod, and enjoy! Epoxy may be added for extra security. Alternatively, slightly undersize the print and use a heat gun to tighten the friction fit further, suitable for 1/4" steel dowel pins.
