This 3D model was created using Sketchup 8 and later exported to various formats. Native format is .skp and was edited in 3ds Max 2016 version with Vray 3.00 rendering engine. To the right of the fort is the Polvorin Santa Barbara, which held a large stockpile of gunpowder, arms, and ammunition. This arsenal was constructed in 1787 during King Charles III's rule over Spain. Its architects designed it to resemble a church in order to deceive pirates. The walls are three meters thick except for one on the rear, near the river, which is only one meter thick. This variation in thickness would redirect an explosion away from populated areas and towards the river, minimizing damage.
