These designs are created to house the Arduino 2560 & Ramps1.4 separately from the smart controller on the Poltur i3 Printer, giving the printer a more compact and organized finish. The smart controller case also allows builders to position the controller anywhere they choose on the frame or even externally if the printer is enclosed. Obviously, these designs can be used on any Ramps equipped printer; it's not exclusive to the Poltur - it was just designed originally for that purpose. I have incorporated a digital voltmeter display into the ramps case using this display: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-0-36-3-Digital-LED-Display-Voltage-Meter-Voltmeter-DC-3-2-30V-Yellow-Volt-/261257340587?hash=item3cd426a6ab:g:uPoAAOxy-sRSWWxk, but if builders do not want to use one I have also included a blanking part. The display case front and back snap together tightly and do not allow the controller to move about inside once assembled, but they also have fixing holes for a more permanent fix. The ramps case lid has two slots for 40mm fans to snap into (one can be used if preferred, but I found that too much cooling is better than too little). Both the rears of the ramps case and controller are open-backed HEX patterned to allow for better cooling, as well as offering ample fixing points for mounting both. The nature of my Poltur printer allows me to simply zip-tie the pair where I choose and they will be solid and secure. Printer Settings: Printer: Poltur i3 Printer Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 30% Post-Printing: I printed the ramps case in translucent PLA, but any material can be used; I only opted for the translucent because the box glows and flashes as the printer is in operation, allowing you to gauge if everything is working properly. More importantly, it's proper geeky and funky to see.
