Pololu Voltage Regulator Case and Lid
thingiverse
I created a custom case and lid using Fusion 360 to hold my Pololu buck converter, which powers my Raspberry Pi 4 directly from the Prusa power supply. Initially, I tried using a design from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4068417, but unfortunately, it didn't fit with the Pololu I ended up purchasing. Therefore, I designed mine based on that one and added a lid. The Raspberry Pi 4 may require slightly higher currents, so I opted to upgrade my regulator and acquired this more capable model: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M659ER2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. To secure the Pololu board, I use M2x8 screws, while the lid is fastened with M3x10. Thankfully, there are sufficient spare parts in the Prusa i3 MK3S kit's bag to accommodate this requirement. This is my second design from scratch created using Fusion 360; it may not be perfect but it served its purpose and I'm sharing it here.
