I'm planning to develop a custom mounting system that seamlessly integrates the Pololu 1515 gear motor into a wheel or hub. To accomplish this, I'll utilize two units on a support shaft - one to rotate the shaft and another to spin the shade/reflector. For the supporting shaft, I've decided to use a sturdy rolled paper shipping tube. This tube will be wrapped with a 14-foot LED strip light that's powered by batteries. Notably, this setup can run continuously for four or five days on a single set of batteries. My design also includes a unique shade in the form of a 2V geodesic dome model of our house.
