Polikarpov Po-2 was a robust biplane fighter bomber that was one of few biplanes to serve as late as 1945 in World War II. It's ease of operation and maintenance made it a favorite of many pilots and continued to serve in training roles as late as early 60s.It is most famously remembered as the aircraft operated by the 588th Night Bomber Regiment, one of the earliest all female combat units to serve in wartime as well as one of the few to serve in WW2. They earned the nickname Nachthexen, or Night Witches because of their stealthy tactics and night bombing raids.The model is not entirely accurate and not to scale. I did not have any dimensions so I recreated the model as best as I could from drawing views and actual photographs available on the internet.
