A worthy adversary for the Ki-27 Nate emerges over Mongolia. The two engage in a fierce dogfight, with the Ki-27 taking a beating against Finnish pilots in the Winter War. Despite its rugged treatment, the Ki-27 remains an attractive biplane design. Printing it at microarmor scale proves to be a challenge, however. In Blender 2.79b, I create a model of the Ki-27 in full dimensions and then scale it down to 1/100 for conversion into a .stl file. Next, I reduce the model size by 35% using a slicer. For reference, standard dice are used at 15mm. As always, if I'm unable to print the design, it won't make an appearance here.
