Police badge prop used in the 1930's Live Roleplaying Game Syndicaat. This is based on the original Police Badge by techoutreach, but with a city name, logo and serial number added.

Also, to enable sewing the badge to a leather cover, there are two channels in the back that allow one to push two wires through, which can then be fastened to the cover.

I have included a Blender file that allows you to customize these features for your own need.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.4

Infill:

10%

Filament: any PLA

How I Designed This

Taking the original STL, I added a Godfather logo (traced from an image) and text for the city name and serial number. The font is Georgia Pro Black, available for free on the Microsoft Store and probably elsewhere. To get the city name to follow the curve of the banner in the badge, I created a curved path that roughly follows the banner's shape, and had the text follow the curve.

All text was then converted to meshes, and these (and the logo) were added to the badge via binary modifiers on the shield set to "Union".

To make it a little easier to sew the shield to - for instance - a leather cover, two channels were added to the back (and cut out of the shield using a Difference modifier).

Category: Props
