PoleMaster-Star Adventurer Adapter Adapter

PoleMaster-Star Adventurer Adapter Adapter

This adapter is not a standalone unit. To attach a PoleMaster to a Star Adventurer, you will need Skippy's PoleMaster-Star Adventurer Adapter (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3290513) and the PoleMaster must be fitted with the generic adapter. My PoleMaster is designed to pair with the iOptron CEM60 adapter. With or without the CEM60 adapter, it won't fit Skippy's adapter. This adapter will fix that issue. The backside of my PoleMaster can be seen in photo #3. My adapter fits here and into Skippy's adapter. If your PoleMaster looks like mine, this might work for you... check the pictures. After printing, I drilled a hole through the side of this adapter so the set screw from Skippy's adapter passes through to secure against the PoleMaster. The adapter is made in two separate parts held together by an M4 nut and bolt plus a toothed washer. It seems a bit stronger than if it was made in one piece, reducing some support requirements. I used PLA for both Skippy's adapter and mine. There are several variations of the PoleMaster adapter. My only model was the CEM60 adapter, so I included my FreeCAD source file; it might be a starting point to make modifications for your own specific PoleMaster adapter.
