Pole adapter for MDT weather station
prusaprinters
Adapter for mounting the KNX weather station from MDT (model SCN-WS3HW.01) to a pole of roughly 50mm in diameter. The original transparent mounting bracket of the weather station is slid into the adapter and fixed with two screws.Designed for:screws DIN 7984 M4x18 (cheese-head screws, head 7mm wide, 2.5mm high)hexagon nuts DIN 439 M4 (flat shape, 7mm wide, 2.2mm high)hose clamps of ≤ 13mm in width, or equally sized cable tiesBest printed in ASA for UV-resistance and preferrably used with fully stainless steel components for the screws/nuts/clamps.You could add a thin piece of rubbery plastic to the back for added stability against movement - I used a slice of 1mm EPDM pond liner. Successfully tested with ASA, 15% infill gyroid. The model has an intentional tilt of 5 degrees on bottom/top so rainwater can drain. For that reaseon, the model will look tilted in your slicer. When printed “upside down”, you may need supports, but the topside of the adapter will be smooth (= less chance for moss / lichen). When printed in “mounting orientation”, no supports are required.
