Polaroid pack camera film holder rails
thingiverse
This is a film holder designed for a Polaroid pack film camera using either paper or film negatives. 4 parts make up a double sided film holder. To build, you will need: 3x pieces of mat board (for framing pictures) 87mm x 142mm 2x pieces of black felt 80mm x 30mm 2x pieces of black card stock 87mm x 30mm. 2x pieces of black bristle board 87mm x 185mm hockey or gaffer's tape. Place glue in middle groove and insert one of the pieces of mat board into the middle groove of end piece, then add the side pieces. Carefully glue the bottom edges of the remaining 2 pieces of mat board and slide them on top of the third ridge from the side. There should be a small space big enough for the negative between the mat board and the 2nd ridge. Glue down the card stock flush with the opened end and glue the felt on top of that. Glue/tape the 2nd end piece to the opened end. Tape the top pieces flush with the end with hockey tape and insert the bristle board (dark slide to be sure it slides OK. If there's a light leak, you can add a piece of cardboard under the top pieces to put more pressure onto the dark slide. The back will also need modifying by removing the rollers and end flap, as well as cutting the metal cross member out without removing the locking tabs. Or, you can try printing the included Polaroid pack camera back. The printed back is not nearly as robust as the original metal back, and it will be opened and closed a lot, so I'd recommend modifying an existing back.
