This is a cartridge and back that allows you to shoot 35mm film in a Polaroid pack film camera in 3.5 X 10 cm format, exposing the sprocket holes as well. Print the back with supports. Print 1 of all parts and 2 of the spool top. Print the knob and drive wheel with 100% infill for strength. Sand down all moving parts to 600 grit to reduce friction. All parts are designed with close tolerances so you may need to file/sand down edges, etc. to make them fit. The back, if printed with PLA is fragile, especially the hinges and latch hooks. Be sure the hinges are not stressed and move freely, and that the latch engages without forcing it. Always release the latch before closing the door. The hooks may need filing both the flat surface that engages the latch and the edges to allow it to close completely. This is designed to use a 35mm canister for a take-up spool. I found in order to make best use of the film, attach a 20 cm leader to the take-up spool and cut the new roll of film flush and tape it to the leader. Don't wrap the tape around the edge--use one piece of tape on each side. If you are rolling your own film with bulk film, I would attach a 5 cm lead to the spool, then tape the bulk film onto the end with one piece of masking tape, then wind the roll right away with 27 winds. This will give 12 exposures. The masking tape will unstick and allow you to wind the end of the roll into the canister. Otherwise, if you're using commercial 35mm film, you will need to unload the film in a dark bag or darkroom in order not to lose the last 2 pictures.
