Polaroid Cube quadcopter mount
thingiverse
I recently obtained my very first 3D printer and embarked on this editing journey to create parts for my thrilling racing quadcopter hobby. My initial goal was to utilize this new tool to produce parts that would be specifically designed for my quadcopters, thereby minimizing risks associated with my GoPro gear. I successfully printed the excellent GoPro mount created by JJBTEXAS and found it to work incredibly well in adapting seamlessly to my existing GoPro equipment. However, I still wanted to take it a step further by developing a custom mount specifically tailored for my quadcopters, ensuring that my expensive GoPro camera would be adequately protected. In order to accomplish this, I simply edited out the standard base of the printed design and added an innovative 20-degree mounting system complete with strategically positioned slots for securing zip ties. After completing the initial print, I was pleased to see it turned out quite well overall, despite a minor setback where the top portion sagged slightly in one area due to a miscalculation involving printing orientation - specifically, the object had been printed upside down.
