Polaris Tunnel Shim
thingiverse
This is for Polaris snowmobiles for those of us who can't afford the lock and ride systems that Polaris offers. This is a shim used for mounting un-strut, aluminum or a what ever piece material you want to use in order to bolt a hard case to your tunnel without drilling which could cause damage to the cooling system and in some models keeps the case above the small extrusion from the tail light cable molded within the tunnel. I designed the shim to be used a 1/4" T-track bolt with a head of 3/8" that will allow the bolt to pull into the tunnel grooves and not get caught up on the extrusion that allows the shim to stay stationary vs just a standard block shim. I used 7/8" uni-strut ( One of my favorites for projects) with 1/4"-20 spring nuts to hold down the hard case to the uni-strut.
