Polaris Slingshot Doors

I started doing this because I got tired of putting on a full winter outfit just to drive my Slingshot in the winter. These doors eliminate about 80 to 90% of drafts while driving in the winter, which is a huge improvement over not having them at all. There are times when I have to take off my gloves because my hands don't get that extra chill from the wind, making them cold. I used to use heated gloves on high all the time but since installing these doors, I can drive around with my gloves off or on low heat. When warmer weather arrives, I plan to do a final layer of fiberglass resin and give them a fresh coat of paint. The inserts will need to have at least 50% infill or higher to ensure they function properly. The door hinge is made with 75% infill to support the weight of the door, which is essential for its stability. You'll need about 20 feet of 3/4 schedule 20 PVC to complete the project, and you can opt for a heavier grade if needed, but then the mount will have to be adjusted accordingly due to the larger pipe size.
