Polaris Ranger 570 Snorkel Adapter Kit
thingiverse
I didn't care for the air intake location on my 2014 Ranger 570 - dirt would fly right into it every time I drove over rough terrain. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a snorkel using these components and some hose. First, you'll need to remove the stock air intake tube and relocate the PCV valve. This will make room for the new snorkel system. The airbox to flex hose adapter is key here - it allows you to use a 1 1/2" radiator flex hose to run from above the bed to the stock airbox, giving you plenty of clearance. To make this work, you'll need to cut a small notch in the bed to accommodate the hose. You'll also need to relocate the PCV valve to the hole on the adapter - this will require some 5/8 ID hose and a 16mm hose barb (or any other 5/8 hose barb) to extend the stock PCV hose to its new location. Once you've got everything in place, you'll be able to breathe easy knowing your Ranger has a robust snorkel system that keeps the airbox clean and dust-free. I'll update this guide with pictures as soon as I can - stay tuned! To get started, you'll need the following parts: * Hose adapter with PCV mounting hole * Two hose clamps for 2 inch hose (you may be able to reuse the ones from the stock air intake) * 1 1/2 inch ID radiator flex hose * 5/8 inch ID hose * 5/8 inch hose barb or print one out using a 3D printer * Two small hose clamps for 5/8 ID hose Voila - you've got an incredibly affordable and effective snorkel system that retains the stock airbox and filter.
