Polaris MSX Throttle Cable End
thingiverse
The throttle cable on a Polaris MSX jet ski features a slender alignment shell that properly positions the cable at the point where the steel cable exits a larger casing and enters another smaller casing, leading up to the throttle sensor. I encountered two instances of older cables with cracked alignment shells, which resulted in the two casings bowing out, thus eliminating the rider's throttle control. 1) Take off the cable end from the throttle sensor so that the casings can separate. 2) Remove the broken alignment shell (about three-quarters of an inch) from the larger casing down to the solid part of the cable. 3) Feed the steel cable through the thin slot in the printed device located between the two casings. 4) Slide the printed device over the larger casing (quite snug) and make sure the smaller casing also fits against it. 5) Reattach the cable to the throttle sensor and check for smooth operation.
