My latest creation is a Polargraph hanging pen plotter designed with precision and adaptability in mind. The Motor Mounts: Engineered specifically for NEMA17 and GT2 belt systems, these mounts ensure seamless performance and reliability. Securely fastened to a whiteboard via 3x10mm neodym magnets and clamps, they provide stability and adjustability. Alternatively, the motor mounts can be attached to canvas or other surfaces using clamps. The Gondola: Pens are securely held in place by screwing them into the MagnetPenHolder (20mm), accommodating pens of various widths. For thinner pens, a reduction sleeve is provided for optimal grip and control. The MagnetPenHolder features magnetic mounting, making it easy to switch between different pen types and future-proof for potential airbrush integration. The moving belts are attached to an innovative BeltCoupler with a 608 bearing inside, maintaining the gondola's center while spinning. A closed loop of GT2 belt ensures precise positioning and smooth operation. Convenient mounting brackets accommodate an SG9 servo and counterweight, enhancing the plotter's stability and control. The Counterweights: Each Mignon(AA) Battery is carefully arranged into one carriage, fixed to the belts and gondola for optimal tensioning. Three such carriages are required for optimal performance.
