Started my own Polargraph project which includes a complete redesign of all parts, with ongoing development of the software over time. While experimenting, NEMA 17 motors are getting quite hot. I created a part that allows for easy attachment of a 40x40MM fan using an M3 screw and pressing it onto the back of the NEMA 17 stepper motor. The setup works like a charm. However, all is still work in progress, so this will not be the final version but looks great nonetheless. Additional files and photos will be added here over time. Assembling is easy with an M3 bolt that has fine threads; I use an M3X25MM because of the additional fan guard and fan.
