Polar Alignment Jig for Meade Equatorial Mount
thingiverse
To align my Meade Equatorial Wedge, I decided to use a green laser and devised a jig that slips in the hole and secures the laser pointer. I designed this tool in SolidWorks 2013, exported as an STL file and printed on MakerBot Replicator 2X using ABS with 100% infill for strength. The jig features alignment holes for the laser but didn't require them. I had to file the outer diameter slightly for a tight fit in the Wedge, but overall, it performed efficiently.
