This custom case is specifically designed to hold a New 3DS XL in place, ensuring a snug fit every time. While it may be a bit loose when used without a protective case, it should still accommodate the handheld console securely outside of its original packaging. However, I strongly advise keeping your New 3DS XL within its case for optimal protection, especially around the charging port area.
