Pokemon Go Universal Aimer - Mk.5

After browsing numerous Pokémon Go Aimer 3D models online, I decided to give creating one a try. My aim was to design a model that would work seamlessly with as many devices as possible, which meant avoiding the tricky task of making it wrap around the phone and keeping it compact enough for multiple devices. Making it fit wasn't the challenge; getting it to stay put so users can easily navigate through the game without hassle is where the real difficulty lies. My design underwent five iterations, possibly six, until I achieved a result that met my requirements. The final version features indented sections in the bottom area with specific intentions: Firstly, prevent accidental presses on home/back/menu buttons; secondly, provide enough space to attach a small piece of sticky tack for added stability. I used this particular adhesive: Amazon's B001F57ZPW product. Overall, I'm satisfied with my design – it's straightforward yet functional. Unbeknownst to me, it also bears an uncanny resemblance to the Mass Effect Mass Relay, which I find appealing. For those who require a more precise fit, I've included the Mk5-T model featuring a thinner lower bracket for compatibility with phones boasting slimmer lower bezels. Printed in PLA with 15% infill, this design could benefit from increased infill density for added rigidity; experimenting with higher infills such as 40%, which yielded noticeable improvements without excessive plastic or print time consumption.
