Now you can enjoy eating Pokemons after catching them... The outer edge cuts, leaving an impression in the dough with its inner details. Characters: Picachu Mewto Blastoise Bulbasar Charmander Squirtle Dimensions: Height: 10 mm Imprint Height: 7 mm Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25 mm Infill: 20% Notes: Use PLA since it's safe for food, and it won't warp. The cutter sizes vary, but I found that a minimum of 14-15 cm in the Y direction gives great results. At this size, internal details print beautifully. Scale them up in your slicer. The outer walls and bottom are 1.5 mm thick to give the cutter some rigidity. When slicing the model, scale Z independently so the mold becomes 10 mm high to maintain proper cutting depth and bottom plate thickness. Don't put it in the dishwasher since the plastic may deform from heat. Clean with warm water and dish soap only. Post-Printing: Edge cleanup There might be minor stringing between walls. Cut or peel off with a small sharp knife. How I Designed This: To create these, I used coloring book motifs that I converted into vector format using free software like Inkscape. You can use any vector graphics program. Google "character name coloring pages" to find suitable pictures to work with. Save the picture you want and import it into Inkscape. In Inkscape, create a bitmap copy of the object. Trace the lines of the bitmap. Use threshold 0,0 for thicker lines. Simpler pictures work best since complex details may not print properly. Some cleanup of the picture might be required to get it right for 3D printing. Make sure the outer edge is solid. Save as DXF or SVG format, depending on your CAD-program. Open the file in your CAD-program. Add the picture to a sketch and create your cookie cutter. Experiment to find what works best for your setup.
