Pokeball, with magnetic clasp and release mechanism
thingiverse
I wanted to create a custom Pokéball with magnetic casing, but I also needed to be able to press the button and trigger a release mechanism. To achieve this, I modified the design. You will need a spring (such as one from a pen or battery pack) and strong glue to assemble it. I applied epoxy to the base of the spring and used super glue and epoxy for all necessary bonding. Since I didn't have small magnets, I enlarged the holes with a Dremel in my photos. It's worth noting that only three parts don't require gluing: the bottom half, the pin, and the internal part of the white button. I also swapped the top and bottom halves to ensure the black ring stays attached to the red top part, as seen in both the original anime series and the latest games, Sun and Moon. To make the inside of the Pokéball round, simply print it with supports or rely on your printer's overhang capabilities. I've included a stand from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1509923
