Here we go, a lengthy post ahead! I was blown away by Movilujo's incredible design and decided to print out a few of his creations. His design is so impressive that it inspired me to create something similar from scratch, which is exactly what I'm doing while learning how to use Fusion 360 and other software. Oh man, this process was incredibly challenging! I designed the parts with gaps, thinking it would be sufficient, but some components expanded after printing, which never occurred to me. So, I made adjustments and saved a V2 version, but unfortunately, it turned out too loose, and the parts wouldn't fit together properly without wobbling. After some meticulous measuring and calculating that would put NASA engineers to shame, I created a V3 design. The ring is now thinner and larger than the original, and I wanted it to be perfectly round. Honestly, I'm not even sure what I'm saying anymore – this process has been utterly confusing! Anyway, I've uploaded all three versions in separate RAR files, with the one that worked best for me being V3, which features thicker pins that are also available for download. To test the design, I printed all parts in the same color and completed the entire Pokeball in just 51 minutes. Once the V3 version turned out perfectly as I envisioned it, I started printing it in various colors, and here's the result! I'm proud to say that I managed to print this design with fewer supports needed, which is a major plus – I hate dealing with supports! The inside pin was secured using super glue, and I glued the rings and pins into the top and bottom parts, which worked out perfectly for me. PS: The blue version is actually Movilujo's original design, but I made it thicker since my own design kept breaking. It's there because his design is amazing, and I wanted to compare sizes with mine. Thanks again to Movilujo for the incredible design! If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below, and I'll respond ASAP!
